About Us

Welcome to Planetary Carbon Standard (PCS), which was established to assess, monitor, estimate, verify, and validate carbon sequestration in afforestation and reforestation projects. PCS also evaluates the carbon-negative impacts of renewable energy projects of all sizes worldwide.

At PCS, we understand the critical need to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to protect our planet for future generations. That's why we've designed PCS as a simplified, accessible carbon standard to encourage widespread participation in achieving negative carbon emissions and promoting sustainable development.

Our experienced, multidisciplinary technical team has used internationally recognized standards as a foundation to develop PCS. It covers all types of GHG emissions and is applicable to various projects, regardless of size or location. We employ advanced technologies, including remote sensing, satellite imagery, LiDAR, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, to enhance the accuracy of validation and verification processes, making monitoring more convenient and accessible for project owners.

At PCS, we aim to raise global awareness about carbon footprints and inspire nations to strive for "Carbon Negative" status, rather than just "Carbon Neutral." We also seek to share the benefits of carbon credits with small-scale planters and renewable energy project developers, enabling everyone to participate in this global effort to reduce emissions and combat climate change.

PCS has been accepted by the Government of Sri Lanka and endorsed by the Sri Lanka Climate Fund. We are continually expanding our reach and impact. Join us in our mission to make a positive difference for the planet, one carbon credit at a time.
